Tulsa Designer Showcase: Bare Bones Party

Bare Bones party

By April Burns

Last week, all of the excitement was kicked off with the Bare Bones Patron Party, where the designers got to show off what they will be doing with their rooms over the next 4 weeks! The designers along with over 250 guests were able to walk through the rooms to see where everything will start until the reveal of the Mansion’s completion in just 4 short weeks. Many of the designers told me they were planning to start painting the very next day. Everyone seemed so excited and honored to be part of restoring such a beautiful piece of Tulsa’s history.

Here is Sherri Duval with Duvall Atelier with her presentation for our Green Room in the basement of the mansion. The color scheme with a light touch of floral and velvet will definitely make the room feel cozy yet elegant!

Another designer that I had so much fun chatting with  at the party is Erin Harp of Erin Harp Interior Designs. She is designing the room known as “Earl’s Chamber” which will be used as the Groom’s room for wedding events at the Harwelden. She took on such a fun project with taking the original electrical panel for the mansion that could no longer be used and creating a phenomenal light fixture out of it-wait until you see it when the Tulsa Designer Showcase opens to the public on May 2nd!

The Designer Showcase is the signature fundraising event for the Foundation for Tulsa Schools, benefiting Tulsa Public Schools. The Harwelden Mansion is honored to contribute to such an important charity in the Tulsa community.
