Mansion Procedures Amid Covid-19

THE HISTORIC HARWELDEN MANSION, TULSA OKLAHOMA

BED AND BREAKFAST AND EVENT CENTER

OPEN FOR BUSINESS

HEALTH:  We will check the temperature of all who enter the mansion. We may ask about cough, fever and if you have been in close contact with anyone exhibiting these systems or has been quarantined.  No one with a fever may enter the property.

MASKS:  All volunteers, vendors, and staff are required to wear a mask until further notice. All guests must wear a mask, although not required.

SOCIAL DISTANCING:
We are limiting the number of chairs during events to ensure that we are maintaining a 6FT space between guests.

SANITATION:
We take standards for cleanliness very seriously and have well-established hygiene standards and daily cleaning procedures for the mansion to address both general cleanliness and disinfection.

In addition to our high cleanliness standards already in place, to combat the spread of COVID-19 we have taken additional precautionary measures:

  • Guest Rooms:  We have enhanced techniques used to clean guest rooms after each stay. The Harwelden Mansion is paying particular attention to high touch point areas, to include elevator doors and buttons, door handles, locks and latches, light switches, counter surfaces, iPads, and bathroom fixture handles.
  • Public Spaces:  The Harwelden Mansion has increased the frequency of disinfecting common areas, such as the Basement Restrooms, Entry, Grand Salon, and Dining Room.
  • Back of House:  In the spaces where employees, vendors, and volunteers work “behind the scenes,” the mansion is increasing the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like entrances, kitchen, work/office spaces, and common areas.
  • In addition to daily, full-time, housekeeping staff sanitizing between events and appointments, a third-party vendor is contracted to deep clean using anti-viral and anti-bacterial materials and products. This extensive cleaning occurs once per month and as-needed if more is required due to the schedule.

HAND WASHING: Proper hand hygiene is documented to be an essential action to reduce the spread of viral illness. Washing hands with soapy, warm water, for a minimum of 20 seconds will be required by employees, vendors, and volunteers frequently, but always after eating and using the restroom.
